Since 1981, The WLB Group has built a reputation throughout the Southwest U.S. as highly capable professionals. Our team is comprised of more than 100 skilled, licensed, and highly trained professionals in the fields of civil engineering, land planning, landscape services, surveying, and construction administration. Thanks to our diverse skillset, we can handle projects from start to finish.
Our clients range from municipal agencies, private developers, and institutional organizations, each of which has different needs, budgets, and goals. Therefore, our approach emphasizes adapting to individual client needs with respect to the physical, natural, and environmental concerns of the project at hand. Thanks to our adaptability and commitment to our clients’ visions, we have built numerous close working relationships, and our work is primarily driven by repeat clients.
Our 40 Year Legacy Is Built on Our Interdisciplinary Approach
In 1981, William C. Walker, P.E., R.L.S. and Michael G. Byrne, R.L.A. founded The WLB Group in Tucson, AZ, with a goal to better address clients’ urban design needs with a coordinated, multi-disciplinary approach driven by experienced professionals. In 1983, the company grew with an office in Tempe, AZ, that allowed us to better serve clients throughout the Phoenix metro area. In 1988, we expanded into Nevada. We opened our Flagstaff office in 2006 serving Northern Arizona, and Utah.
